A Progressive Journey

The sequential learning begins in Kindergarten, with immersive experiences that encourage the girls to appreciate the natural environment and understand their role as its stewards. In the early years, our philosophy is ‘challenge by choice’; the students are engaged in increasingly challenging outdoor activities and overnight stays that encourage them to stretch themselves beyond their courage zones in supported ways.

Building Skills

In the Secondary School, the program evolves to offer more extended and adventurous experiences. The students develop expedition skills and engage in activities which over the course of their School years might include abseiling, canoeing, canyoning, horse riding, rock climbing and mountain biking.

Beyond Adventure

Alongside these traditional outdoor pursuits, Wenona staff facilitate wellbeing activities that challenge the students to communicate, collaborate, and problem-solve. Significant perspective shifts can occur in nature, as the students find courage and optimism in the face of challenge, developing a deeper strength of character and creating lifelong memories.
