Research is clear that parent involvement enriches a student's educational journey. The WPA plays a crucial role in fostering this connection, creating a supportive network that extends beyond the classroom.
Community Calendar
Each year, the Wenona calendar is filled with exciting events designed to bring our community together. From the welcoming picnic at St Leonards Park for new families to the Spring Fair, Gala Balls, morning teas and lunches – there's always an opportunity to connect, socialise, and create lasting friendships. We're particularly proud of our participation in the Mother's Day Classic, where our Wenona Walkers have won the Largest School Team award for five consecutive years, showcasing our community spirit and commitment to important causes.
Parent Education
The WPA also focuses on parent education, offering programs that empower parents to support their daughters' academic journey and prepare them for life beyond Wenona. These sessions provide valuable insights and strategies, ensuring our parents are well-equipped to guide their daughters through their School years and beyond.
WPA Committee
Our Association is run by an elected committee of dedicated parents who oversee day-to-day operations. However, the WPA's strength lies in the active participation of all parents and carers. We warmly encourage everyone to attend our meetings, join our committees, and be part of the vibrant Wenona community.
