Wenona’s Head of Enrolments, Mrs Belinda Stoneham, is the CRICOS contact for the School. Overseas students may study at Wenona on a student visa.

Overseas students who are enrolling at Wenona in Years 7 to 12 are required to reside in the School’s Boarding House during term time, returning to the care of their families or guardians during non-term time, exeat weekends or illness. Overseas students who are enrolling at Wenona in Kindergarten to Year 6 and, on rare occasions, students enrolling in Years 7 to 12, may be given permission by the Principal to reside with a parent who is living in Sydney full time and has a valid Guardian Visa.

A strong wellbeing team supports our international students. The team includes an International Student Coordinator, Connect teachers, qualified EAL/D teachers, Heads of House, School Counsellors and the Careers Counsellor. Strong support is provided by the Head of Boarding and the boarding community.

Wenona welcomes overseas students and understands that an overseas student must be able to satisfactorily cope with the academic program as well as participate fully in the life of the School. Therefore, Wenona requires that any Overseas Student fulfil the following prerequisites for enrolment:

  • Satisfactory academic achievement: It is essential that the student has successfully achieved the necessary academic background to enable her to commence the course for which she wishes to enrol at Wenona. She must have studied her preferred subject choices in her previous school. We require submission of academic reports from the previous two years with the Application for Enrolment.
  • English proficiency: Overseas Students must be able to demonstrate competence in English and must provide a recent AEAS or IELTS assessment with her Application for Enrolment. It is Wenona’s expectation that students will enter the School with at least Upper Intermediate level English. In order to meet these standards, students may need to spend a period of intensive study at an Australian Language College.
  • Guardian and Student Welfare Arrangements: An Overseas Student must have a responsible adult appointed as her guardian. The guardian is to act as a parent in all matters relating to School policy, order and discipline. Please note that even when a student is 18 years of age or older the School still requires the same parental/guardian supervision as for all other students.

To submit an application, please complete the online application form.
