Wenona students educated themselves on the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Straits Islander people during National Reconciliation Week 2024.
Students participated in a number of events during National Reconciliation Week, in order to encourage discussion on this year’s theme of Now More Than Ever.
The video below showcases a speech made during the Years 7 to 12 Principal’s Assembly, a yarning circle with Auntie Viv Freeman, a screening of the documentary, The Last Daughter, and students preparing meals to hand out in areas with a large Indigenous population.
