Father’s Day celebrations were extended this week with a wonderful breakfast shared by our Junior School students, and their fathers and father figures, on Tuesday morning. After some delicious treats, tours of the classrooms allowed our special guests to join the learning activities with their daughters.
On Wednesday evening, a ‘Celebration of Fatherhood’ panel discussion encouraged insightful sharing on how to enhance the crucial father-daughter bond. The panel was made up of current parents and the event allowed dads to discuss and share openly about the challenges, ups, downs, and everything in between regarding raising girls. Topics discussed included technology, parties, friends, setting boundaries and expectations. This seminar is one of the suite of offerings within Wenona’s Parent Education Program to support our parent community.
